MSc in Counselling, MBACP
I work in Montpelier, just a few minutes’ walk from the Gloucester Road at Stokes Croft, convenient for public transport links and Broadmead. I work with both individuals and couples, for either short or long term counselling.
I originally trained with the Foundation for Emotional Therapeutic Counselling and I have an MSc in Counselling from the University of Bristol. I am currently training with Tavistock Relationships, studying for the Advanced Certificate in the Study of the Couple Relationship.
I also have a Diploma in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes.
I am a committed practitioner and a member of the BACP. I undertake continuing professional development, have regular supervision and adhere to the BACP ethical framework and code of conduct.
I have worked as a counsellor with adults and adolescents, at the City of Bristol College and at Off the Record, a charity that works with young people. I now work exclusively from my private practice in Montpelier, Bristol.
I have full Professional Indemnity Insurance and a current DBS check in place.
I previously worked as a teacher and in local government, and travelled extensively and lived abroad – in Italy, Japan and on a small Pacific island. I am now settled in Bristol and dedicated to my counselling practice. Working as a counsellor gives me great satisfaction and is endlessly rewarding – it is a privilege to work alongside clients as they navigate the therapeutic journey.
